The websites www.5piecesofadvice.com, www.thegoodcards.com, www.betterworldinternational.org and all related or associated subdomains, microsites, mobile applications, social networking sites and pages (collectively, “Site”) as well as the various content, features, other materials, products, and services offered or available in connection with the Site (“Services”) are operated by NOT FOR PROFIT Better World International registered in Poland  KRS number 0000634994  (“we,” “us” and “our”).  We are committed to protecting the privacy of your information.  This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information about you when you visit the Site and use the Services. We reserve the right to make changes to this policy at any time and for any reason. Any changes to this privacy policy will be posted and we will alert you that changes have been made by updating the revised date of this policy.  PLEASE READ THIS PRIVACY POLICY CAREFULLY.  If you do not agree to the terms of his policy, do not disclosure any information on the Site.

Collecting Your Information

The types of information we may collect about you include:

  • Personal, business, contact, and demographic information, which you provide on the Site or give us in any way, such as name, business name, address, email, and phone in connection with completing the registration process, making a purchase or donation, posting comments or other content or participating in interactive forums or features.
  • Personal information from your Facebook profile when you create a profile on the Site by connecting with Facebook, such as name, gender, age, profile photo, email, and residential address.
  • Demographic, contact or other personal information you provide in connection with your participation in surveys, contests, games, promotions, and other activities on our Site.

Securing Your Information

We realize the importance of securing your personal information, so we have physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in place to enhance the safety of information about you that is collected on our Site.  While we have taken reasonable steps to make the personal information you provide to us as secure as possible against unauthorized access, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.  Any information disclosed online can potentially be intercepted and used by unauthorized parties.  To help ensure security via the Internet, we recommend you keep your browser up to date with automatic security updates enabled and use unique usernames and passwords that are never shared.

Cookies and Tracking Technology

The Site may use cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technology depending on the features offered. Tracking technology is useful for gathering information such as browser type and operating system, tracking the number of visitors to the Site, and understanding how visitors use the Site and Services. “Do-Not Track” Signals and Disabled Cookies

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) setting that you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to allow information about your web browsing activities monitored or collected.  We do not currently respond to or honor DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates the Site visitor’s preference to opt-out of online tracking.  No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized.  If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will provide information about that practice in a revised version of this privacy policy.

Policy for Children

We do not use our Site to knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 18.  By using the Site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence or that you are the age of majority and have given us consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use the Site and Services.
