Homelessness is a serious issue in our societies caused by economical crises, and other factors that makes it impossible for homeless people to get their life back on track. Help homeless is very important to our society’s wellbeing.
The state of Utah started a different approach when it implemented statewide the Housing First Programme that helps people on the streets to find homes and improve the quality of their lives.
As a result of this programme, Utah was able to decrease its population of chronically homeless people with an astonishing 91%.
During this engaging talk, Lloyd Pendleton, ex-Director of Utah’s Homeless Taskforce walks us through the everyday struggles of people without housing and gives us valuable advices on how we can help homeless citizens.
